The Norton 360 Deluxe with Lifelock includes the most complete antivirus-software and identity protection service combinations you’ll find today.

The boom in the use of the Internet has also caused a steep rise in the number of cybercrimes. For many, cybercrime has become a profitable business. How profitable, you might ask?

According to studies made by experts, cybercriminals steal as much as a trillion dollars from individuals and businesses in a year. Studies show that the attack of the cybercriminals is so intense that any unprotected computer connected to the Internet can become infected within a few minutes, and almost one in three Internet users have lost sensitive data on their PC to hackers.

Therefore, we need a reliable and dynamic Internet security system that can safeguard us from the attack of these nasty cybercriminals.

Norton’s eight different Windows antivirus packages are for people who prefer everything in one place, who would rather not mix-and-match applications and services, and who can afford Norton’s prices. All this integration gets expensive quickly as you add features.

Norton’s malware-scanning engine uses a lot of system resources during full scans, and no Norton package offers encryption or file shredding. But if you’re looking for a single solution to cover your digital security and privacy from every angle, look no further than NortonLifeLock.

Why Choose Norton 360 Deluxe?

norton 360 Deluxe

Today the market place is overcrowded with a number of different anti-virus products, but Symantec’s Norton 360 Deluxe stands apart with its industry’s best protection rates for web-based attacks. It is designed with the latest security technology to provide the customers reliable and proactive antivirus protection, as well as secure remote access to their backed up data.

Furthermore, it is the most sophisticated product in the Symantec’s antivirus products lineup and it provides real-time protection to your computer system from all existing and emerging threats. It is an excellent security suite, which includes patented five layer anti-virus, anti-spyware, browser protection, Facebook protection, identity theft protection, parental controls, PC optimization, automatic backup and 50 Gb secured online storage. It has very little impact on the system performance against the wonderful features it provides.

For the regular price of $49.95, we found some exclusive Norton 360 Deluxe features which you won’t find in competitive software, like Kaspersky Total Security or Heimdall Thor Premium.

Namely ,“Virus Protection Promise,” when the company refunds your money for the software in case it can’t delete or detect a virus on your system, or the support team can’t solve this issue.

The second exclusive feature is “Dark Web Monitoring Powered by LifeLock.”  In short, the great part of this feature is that it helps you protect all your personal data, including emails and credit cards shared in the Dark Web by cybercriminals.

To those not familiar with the term, Dark Web refers to encrypted online content hidden from conventional search engines. The people who run the Dark Web use masked IP addresses to hide their tracks. In a nutshell, the Dark Web is similar to an online black market, it’s a place where people purchase illegal items like guns, weapons, or credit card details.

The eight Windows antivirus products of the Norton LifeLock family can protect anything from a single PC to a household’s worth of computers and mobile devices along with the identities of their users.

All Norton products, starting with Norton AntiVirus Plus, include a two-way firewall, an unlimited password manager and a file-backup program.

They also include the company’s Safe Web browser extensions, which work with Internet Explorer, Edge, Chrome and Firefox.

Safe Web’s Isolation Mode renders the contents of known dangerous sites as read-only. If you connect to a banking site, Norton runs the browser session in a virtual machine.

Norton’s Secure VPN comes with Norton 360 Standard and above. Unlike other antivirus companies, Norton doesn’t tease you with a free limited data offering and then make you pay for more you get unlimited VPN data from the get-go.

You can hide your location like a digital James Bond, or just stream localized movies and sports as if you were in London or Mexico City. It took us an average of 6.5 seconds to connect to Norton’s VPN, but the VPN’s encryption and routing cut our usable bandwidth by half.

There’s no free Norton software, but there’s a 60-day satisfaction guarantee on the paid products, as well as Norton’s Virus Protection Promise of a refund if the software can’t keep your system clean. The list prices are higher than comparable products from other antivirus vendors, but you can often find substantial markdowns.

The entry-level Norton AntiVirus Plus protects a single PC or Mac and works with Windows 7 through 10.

For $10 a month, or $100 a year, Norton 360 Deluxe covers five devices, regardless of platform. It adds parental controls and gives you up to 50GB of online storage and five simultaneous VPN connections. It maxes out all of Norton’s core antivirus features; the next five products add device licenses, online storage and identity protection.

Norton 360 Premium, available at retail stores but not on the Norton website, expands the Deluxe antivirus and VPN coverage to up to 10 devices and 75GB of online storage. It lists at $115 per year. Norton 360 Platinum, also retail-only, lists for $140 per year, covers up to 20 devices and offers 100GB of online storage.

About Norton 360 Deluxe

Norton AntiVirus is an anti-virus or anti-malware software product, developed and distributed by Symantec Corporation since 1991 as part of its Norton family of computer security products. It uses signatures and heuristics to identify viruses. Other features included in it are e-mail spam filtering and phishing protection.

Symantec distributes the product as a download, a box copy, and as OEM software. Norton AntiVirus and Norton Internet Security, a related product, held a 61% US retail market share for security suites as of the first half of 2007. Competitors, in terms of market share in this study, include antivirus products from CA, Trend Micro, and Kaspersky Lab.

Norton AntiVirus runs on Microsoft Windows, Linux and macOS. Windows 7 support was in development for versions 2006 through 2008. Version 2009 has Windows 7 supported update already.

Versions 2010, 2011, and 2012 all natively support Windows 7, without needing an update. Version 12 is the only version fully compatible with Mac OS X Lion. With the 2015 series of products, Symantec made changes in its portfolio and briefly discontinued Norton AntiVirus. This action was later reversed with the introduction of Norton AntiVirus Basic.

Final Thoughts

With one of the most complete lineups of personal digital-security and privacy products, NortonLifeLock can protect a single computer or an entire household’s devices.

Between the unlimited VPN, the password manager, the parental controls, backup software, online storage and the comprehensive identity-protection services, Norton offers pretty much everything you could ever need, but it can quickly get expensive as you add more options.

If you’d rather mix and match these various services, or you don’t need them all, Kaspersky Total Security has excellent malware protection, a password manager, backup software and parental controls plus items Norton lacks, such as a hardened browser, file encryption and file shredding.

Bitdefender Premium Security swaps out the backup software for unlimited VPN service, but it’s malware protection is a half-step down from Norton’s. McAfee Total Protection + VPN offers identity protection as well as unlimited VPN, but has an even lower caliber of malware protection.

In other words, no software company covers all aspects of modern-day security as completely as NortonLifeLock. It’s truly a one-stop shop for all your digital security and privacy needs if at a premium price.
